| Les journées de microbiologie sanitaire sont organisées chaque année par le Laboratoire Santé, Environnement et Microbiologie (LSEM). Ces journées permettent de réaliser un bilan des activités liées aux missions de Laboratoire National de Référence Microbiologie des coquillages ainsi que de la surveillance (REMI). Les derniers résultats de la recherche menée au LSEM ou dans les Laboratoires Environnement Ressource (LER) sont également présentés. En 2013, 102 personnes ont participé à ces journées. Y participaient, des représentants de l’administration centrale (DGAL et INVS), de l’administration locale (ARS, DDTM, DDPP, CIRE), des agences de l’eau, des professionnels (CRC) et des laboratoires agréés. |

| This synthesis report assesses the current state of the marine hydrobiological knowledge acquired in the surroundings of the Flamanville electronuclear site (north-west of Cotentin), in the framework of the various project and monitoring programs in the pelagic, benthic and halieutic domains carried out on this site since 1976. Each domain is divided, as much as necessary, into different study areas such as hydrobiology, phytoplankton, microbiology, crustacean larvae or macrophyte algae. | Records of in vitro susceptibility tests performed between 1992 and 2011 were retrospectively reviewed in order to evaluate the dynamic profiles of possible changes in antimicrobial resistance of Staphylococcus spp. isolated from milk samples of cows with mastitis during two decades. The results of 2,430 isolates tested by disk diffusion technique for susceptibility to oxacillin, penicillin, ampicillin, cephalexin, norfloxacin, tetracycline, sulfazotrim, gentamicin, and neomycin were analysed. | The importance of Hospital Infection Control Committees (HICC) increases every year due to the emergence of multiresistant bacterial strains, hospital outbreaks, and other factors that cause HI. This demonstrates the fragility of the quality of hospital and medical care. Having a well-organized HICC benefits hospitals by improving quality, lowering costs and, most important, reducing patient morbidity and mortality. This review records the history of the development of HICCs, their present organizational structure, and offers recommendations for the best methods of infection surveillance. |

| Consolidation of data on meningococcal disease surveillance for the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, has provided new insight about the evolution of this disease during the period of 1971-2000. A descriptive epidemiological study, based on retrospective analysis of all cases of meningococcal disease notified in the state of Santa Catarina, linked the surveillance data from the Secretary of the State of Health, magnetic tape records and the data from the national surveillance of diseases of obligatory notification. Following World Health Organization guidelines, cumulative incidence exceeding five cases per 100,000 inhabitants was considered indicative of an epidemic. | The application of the new Water Framework Directive (WFD) of the European Union will require a dense and frequent monitoring of chlorophyll-a near the coast. Not counting the transitional water bodies located in the vicinity of estuaries, not less than seventy four coastal water bodies have to be monitored along the coast of the French Atlantic continental shelf and the English Channel. | The research programme developed within in the framework of the project study of the Paluel site allowed us to highlight, near the drainage channel of the Durdent, a sea trout fishery using fixed nets in the area of the swaying of the tides. This activity, very much in use in the eastern English Channel and along the southern shoreline of the North Sea, not only for catching certain amphibiotic species but also species that are strictly of the sea, represents a sizeable cause of the mortality rate for salmonid populations during their coastal migrations. | Many studies in coastal areas have shown the existence of thin chemical and biological layers. Their thickness and vertical extension are mainly controlled by hydrological and physical forcing. An accurate description of the phytoplankton communities growing within these layers is difficult to obtain without a well-adapted sampling system. A new Fine Scale Sampler (FSS) has been designed in Ifremer in order to study phytoplankton distribution and associated dissolved properties in high stratified water column. | 全国47都道府県の小動物診療施設を対象に2009年（09年）と2010年（10年）の犬Babesia gibsoni感染症発生状況に関するアンケート調査を実施した．9,513施設か6,746 の回答が得られ（回収率70.9 ％），うち859施設（12.7 ％）が本症を経験していた．確定症例数は09年3,802，10年3,625で，うち東日本では09年87，10年75であった．栃木，茨城，群馬，埼玉，東京，長野の関東以北6都県では，西日本への移動又は旅行歴のない，闘犬以外の品種9頭に確定症例が認められ，関東以北でのB. gibsoni自然感染が示唆された．西日本では769 施設で09年3,715，10年3,550の確定症例があり，特に香川，熊本，徳島，山口，福岡，宮崎，兵庫各県で，年間200を超える症例が報告された． A nationwide questionnaire was conducted on the prevalence of the Babesia gibsoni infection in dogs in 2009 and 2010.
